Lead Me Through Oblivion

by Koan   Sep 17, 2015

As dusk embraces the sky
grieving images draw closer
from the fevered night
and reality's cold hand
touches the strings of my heart
luring out the silent cries
from the mist of language.

And into the world
this poem shall soar
to utter my deep suffering,
to make you understand:
we are all a different branch
swaying in every directions
in the forest of life,
yet
the Moving Force is the same!

And I see things that I should not see,
tragedies of mankind, fruits of the Sorrow Tree.
I see the marching men dressed in black,
the legion of doom they are of the dead
moving forward at His will,
ready to burn Life's domain.

Oh, alas!
Balm to my eyes were
the sweet dreams of children,
the wishes of their hearts
that we will become a better kind...

But now,
my visions are sown with dust
as my soul weeps with the moon
up above

And I see flowers,
innocent petals scattered on
blooded razor wires
dear hopes of our transpiercing tomorrow
torn one by one
and into the hands of death
they are fallen...

And I see
the mothers endless tears pouring
as they pray
to touch Faiths impenetrable veil,
trying to change the course of their cruel fate
to bring back the sparkles of their eyes...

Oh dear night,
this unholy pilgrimage I can no longer take!
Oh, harvest these reverberating dreams,
the mournful echoes of my conscious mind.
Lead me through oblivion
and blind me with ignorance
for it seems this is the only way to happiness...

Lead me through..what an amazing title. To ask to be led though oblivion. That's a very classy way of expressing one's self.

It's a collection of paintings and images from title to the last punctuation mark.

I felt every word, it is one inspirational poem. Gets you to think for a moment and redo your maths on life.

    Very touching. Well written.

Its the journey of life where despair, death and tragedy resides, even more it pours out from the person who has witnessed and lived through this horror. The imagery in each stanza gives a deeper impact that when the reader reads it-it can be felt and seen. A touching write and the last line:"blind me with ignorance
for it seems this is the only way to happiness..."

How many of us turn a blind eye or want to turn a blind eye so that happiness only prevails but then living in ignorance to gain happiness is always short lived.
