Vain-Follow

by Sunshine   Sep 22, 2015

I looked for it
behind the curtain,
outside my window
and behind the door,
I looked for it
in every dull possibility-
on the drenching ceiling
and beneath the stiff floor.

I looked for it,
but I looked in vain..

I found it
in the tiny silks of the curtain
in the blurry reflection
of the window's glass,
in the little space beneath
the door, where I trip
where I float
where I pass.

I found it in every
dull possibility- in the fragile
structure of my ceiling
and the prints left
on the face of the floor..

I found it,
but found in vain;
no different from how I searched
all insolent, yet in pain.
