Alone

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 28, 2015

You found me alone,
you came to me alone.
Two lost minds collided
in a nebula dream.

We danced a pas de deux
of loneliness, me and you.

Along the shores we trod,
hand in hand
alone we walked
as the leaves turned red.

My dear you have captivated me,
set my loneliness free.

All I need is your blazing smile,
leonine eyes adoring me,
golden locks glimmering
in moonlight's eyes.

As one we will walk
laughing at
our yesterdays
no longer lonely
even when alone.

The sun will kiss our faces
as your heart kisses mine,
we'll wander through lonely places
rejoicein our contented times.

At
last
our
nights
estranged

loneliness shall fade
as fog on a sunny day
and again we shall embrace
no longer lonely in this place.

Inspired by the words of my friend zama 'you found me alone and you came here alone'

dedicated to my love Gareth Matthee.
