Other side of the tracks

Blood stained flowers look prettier in the moonlight
Even if the dead bodies they grow from are molding;
The worms make it all the more sweeter.
At least when your beside me.

Or I'd like to think that...

In reality it's probably just another nightmare
Wrapping it's dirty claws around the children
The same ones that dare to dream at night,
When everyone else has given up on humanity.

I don't blame them though

We've all seen the other side of the tracks
And it lures us back with the promises of acceptance,
But even the devil loses the concept of time there
And before you know it you're that carcass

That some other child is admiring...
