Filtered Truth

by DarkLight   Oct 1, 2015

I wont give you the satisfaction
by ending mine life
and neither will I fall a victim of your convince.
Have walked both ways,
the one with the light
that led me to question the purpose of my existence
also the dark one that led me to this moment.
Am dark inside
and will admit that it feels so right to watch Someone's life leave slowly like creeping nightfall
but my persistence to the idol
made it hard to find happiness.
My life has a purpose
the only thing missing is the reason for the purpose.
I will not fall for this lifestyle demands
It expect too much, but what does it have to offer for rebirth of my joy?
Nothing and always wanting everything.
Lost I maybe,
but I have a chance to start anew
fresh start they say,
the only thing this time will be that,
I know better than before,
to take a path with your scent laid allover.
DEVIL you lost.

A dark and brooding piece with a defiant and hopeful end. Well done - I love poems like this.
    All the very best,
