If you want fame

by Everlasting   Oct 3, 2015

Dear

if you want fame;
work towards turning yourself
into a magnet
be like a piece of iron
malleable and magnetic
to attract people to you

though if you want more fame
be like a piece of neodymium
a rare metal
that attracts more
and more people towards you

however, don't be surprised
if by being like a magnet
you only attract people
that are like metals towards you.

nor let it take you by surprise
if by being like a magnet
you also attract other magnets
or if in the process
other magnets repel you.

How true these words are - a poem full of thought and wisdom, which I love. Great use of the extended metaphor here. Clever write which I enjoyed.
    All the very best,
    Ben.
