Serenaded Fables

by Meme   Oct 5, 2015

Read me a story
that would allow
me to venture
into the unknown
suburbs of your
mind.

Then let our
hands interlace
while you walk
me through all
your fields of
thought.

Guide me to the
place that ignited
it all. Where you
have planted our
tree, that yielded
a forest of love.

Sing me, lull me
love me, every
stop we make is
a new page, of a
new story that we
script.

Then it's my turn,
to cradle you in
my heart, to be
your storyteller.

Read this three times and loved it more each time.
I love the idea of holding hands and being led through the "suburbs" of someone's mind - wonderful imagination there! Seeing the place in their mind where their love for you was planted and blossomed. Truly, this is great poetry, Meme.
    All the very best
