Warped

by Dancing Rivers   Oct 5, 2015

Glutteny bloats an empty soul
smoked out by years of suppression.
The devil in her grimaces
to taste the strife,
soak their hearts in her bloodied tears.
Wrap them up in her blue box
of yesterdays
and throw it carelessly
to the inferno.
Taste their blood
pouring out of their apologies
drowning their cries out
hiding them from deafened ears.

One for the pain
two for her tears shed in vain
three for the darkness
for the pain she's learnt to harness.

She's warped.
Seared by the heat of her rage
blood thirsty
greedy to taste their shame
to gorge on their damned souls.

Warped like mirrors
molten in the flames
once reflecting beauty
now revealing hatred.

Warped with all the battles
she's had to fight alone
and all the pains
they wouldn't
pay head to

The second stanza of this is superb. So powerful. The rest of the poem's pretty good too! lol
Seriously, Hazel, another really well executed piece. Well done and all the best
