Sleep Cycle

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 8, 2015

The moon yawns
before dawn
I am restless too.
Day turns to night
my clock's not right
there is nothing new

Under the sun
when it is done
it is so true
I rise and set
don't seem to get
sleep that is due

Still I am blessed
though I'm possessed
with my waterloo
in peace I shall rest
as it is best
when I am through

    Michael
This sounds like a lot of nights I go through.

    The moon yawns
    before dawn
    I am restless too.
    Day turns to night
    my clock's not right
    there is nothing new

This paints a vivid imagine for the minds eye.
I can picture the moon yawning.

    Under the sun
    when it is done
    it is so true
    I rise and set
    don't seem to get
    sleep that is due

I can feel this stanza. Going days without sleep.
    Excellent job!
    Take care Cindy
