Sapphire of Hope

by Shruti   Oct 10, 2015

A handful of promises,
assurance all along.
A world of desire;
belief? I haven't found.
Search under the leaf,
look beyond the horizon,
what do you see?
Emptiness? Yes, they're gone...
A sea of smiles,
are they invalid?
No, I can see through...
I can look deep...
happiness and hope...
...a drop of hope.
But what is this silence I hear?
Why is it so familiar?
Was I wrong? Does it not end?
Is there something more,
yet another beginning
to this tale?
I hear a voice
it tells me,
there is yet another to gain.
A drop of hope?
Where do you find?
I still don't perceive.
It rings in my ear, again.
"Turn the page, it'll be blank;
look back, they'll be gone;
peep through, nothing you'll see;
but look inside you,
a blue light, it will shine."
What is it?
"It's the sapphire within you.
'a drop of hope'
you'll find..."

      I'd like to, but sorry, I don't have an account there. Later if I open one, then I'll surely add.
      Thanks.
