Trouble Thunder

There is thunder in my heart again,
stronger than ever before,
as it reminds me of the risks
when someone gets too close.

My defences are closing the door,
scared of your love demolishing me.

I wish by now I had the sense to know
whether you will stay or go -
but like a horse spooked by a storm,

I run,

never looking back,
before you walk away.

As this thunder reminds me
that wherever I run to,
trouble always finds me.
