The One Who Saves Lives

by Kaytrien   Oct 11, 2015

They say that I'm a hero,
but I'm telling you I'm not,
they say that i'm an angel
for all these battles I fought.

They say that I'm a villain.
but that just isn't true,
They say that I am crazy,
and that it's the day I'll rue.

They say all these things,
that I just do not get,
I save lives that are precious,
and I say "do not fret".

It's really not a judgement call,
or words I should be claimed for,
all of these bad names,
that come knocking at my door.

I go by superman,
not hero or by villain,
I help people and save lives,
and I don't cause the killin'

I do this with care,
it's not just a job,
and the people with no lives,
where all they do is rob.

I'll keep doing what I do,
because I love you all,
I'll save you in the spring,
and I'll save you in the fall.

Keep doing it indeed - and keep writing. Another great piece; well done.
