Serial Victim

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 11, 2015

I am convinced that she was sent to rescue me
from the blackness that tortured my soul
and held me as a slave.

She came with her needle and thread,
and a safety pin,
ready to give me a makeover
to mend all of my scars.

But my heart is holding back my love,
and I can't even explain my reasons anymore.

An addict to loneliness,
because it is safer than falling victim
to another serial heart breaker.

A sad piece Saffie about how putting up a protective wall, as it were, and being lonely because of that is actually a "happier" way to spend a life than the risk of being hurt over and over. I love the line "An addict to loneliness".
All the very best and take care,
