I'll write these words cast in stone

by Ash   Oct 15, 2015

I'll write these words cast in stone,
To tell the world what it's like with you gone
Your memories unraveling before my eyes,
The longing to see you that never dies
The heartache and pain that never subsides
Oh how I wish you were still alive.

I never knew emptiness until I saw your empty chair
I never knew loneliness because you were always there
I never realized how much life can surprise
Until I saw your still body right before my eyes

So many questions arose in my mind,
Only to remain unanswered as you left behind,
A thousand memories that I can't brush away
A million tears that seem to find a way
Into my heart and soul with no objection.

A powerful write with a nice flow to it and a powerful ending which I think is always important. Well done and all the best,
