I like this. because it starts out as a regular stuck in class love poem and just winds into so much more. Honestly, sounded like a man at first then went into a woman, so i enjoyed that twist as well.

    Yaki,

It has been a while since I've had the pleasure of commenting on one of your poems, time has gotten the better of me and I've found it hard to find balance in my life lately. That being said, I think this poem is a clever depiction of balance, a balance between knowledge and poetry, university life and love.

I think the main reason I fell for this poem was simply because it was highly relatable to my own experiences in school. In design I studied design so target audience, consumerism, marking strategies and literature are all fond memories for me, then of course I fell in love at uni and like you, I had a curious mind about that particular person I fell for.

The way you weaved your courses terminology throughout the poem was clever, your intelligence, and the way you think never ceases to amaze me. This is a perfect poem to sum up the way you and your mind have grown. Can't wait to check out some more of your latest poems, I think I'm going to have some great reading tonight.
