How Are You Now

by PX   Oct 21, 2015

Asked myself time and again,
Am I used to it yet?
Being without you
At night.
Is there any way,
To ease the loneliness?
How are you lately?
Are you struggling,
With your memories too?
You said once that,
You would remember me.
Do you?
Is your heart still hurting,
Hurting for me?
If there is no way,
Please forget me.
And find your own happiness.
Please let go of,
All our happy times together.
I am still struggling,
With myself but,
I cannot let it show.
Yesterday is far away,
But tomorrow is still distant.
Memories long-forgotten,
Tend to resurface easily.
What can I do to,
Stop these tears from falling?

Another excellent piece, full of melancholy.
I like the line "memories long-forgotten tend to resurface easily". They really can sometimes!
    Well penned and keep writing,
