    Saffie,
I'm going to be honest here - as well written as the poem is, I'm not sure (personally) about this poem.
lots of people have suffered terrible abuse and depression (the latter has certainly affected me) but this is never the answer and I believe sends a very negative message to anyone reading. Your poem, your feelings and your choice to post, but poems this dark should, perhaps, be kept under our mattresses!
This is only my opinion, and others will disagree - we are artists and have a right to express ourselves freely, of course, but I cannot ever agree that sympathising with suicide (the ultimate enemy behind depression) is the right course. There is no victory in having suicide claim you. I do respect this poem from a technical point - it is a deeply moving read - and is written very well.

Saffie, if I am wrong, and it's not about suicide, ignore me as an idiot.

You are kind of right Ben, it is about suicide, but it is more from the point of view of children who have been victims of trafficking, and being sold for torture and pleasure.

They live in a world so dark, they are forgotten about and no one knows or sees their suffering, and they know they are not allowed to speak, therefore they begin to think of death as a better way of living than the life they have been sold into.

As harsh as it is to think of them dying, it happens, it is fact, and I write these poems because someone has to make awareness of these issues, so that these victims know they are not alone and that someone out there is thinking of them, and also trying to fight for freedom for them.

Fair point Saffie - I didn't quite get the subject matter and can certainly understand your view when you state the story behind it openly. I agree completely in regards to the world needing to be aware of this kind of abuse.
    All the very best
