Who likes bugs?

Who likes bugs?

They hide everywhere in our house; in your hair they are a louse.
They hide under the rug, they bite you in the rear without a care, and without a hug!

When I gazed in my beer sure enough a happy critter was doing the backstroke there.

With a few steps, some nasty words that come out as they must, justice was done with one flush.

Your happy meal they love to steal, a fly on your pie may catch your eye but shoo fly is a pain for any gal or guy. High on the ceiling they sit, too high to get a hit, and on the couch in frustration you sit.

It's a choice between my salad or my wine, the critters laugh and don't care, your choices they don't mind.

The wife bought some nets, now at dinner time it's as good as it gets, we lift and take, flies have to wait for an opportunity to taste our steak.

So bugs we love not, remember Lyme Ticks are something to fear, so be careful when you are close to that *Deer.

*My wife's aunt suffered much after contracting Lyme Disease from a Deer tick bite in New Jersey, she has been improving after receiving anti-biotic treatment. Some may suffer with Lyme disease unaware that they have it and may think it is arthritis or something else as my wife's
Aunt first thought until a blood test revealed it as Lyme Disease.

This in deed is a change to read something that will make you laugh and smile. Once in a while a good laughter is the best medicine. I really like how you have written this too. A story told without loosing its message with clear pictures and laughter...good one!

    Hope your aunt recovers soon...

Thank you both, I always like to add some humor in many of my poems but with this one I went for the whole magila. Hey J I don't like to hug bugs but they do love to hug me! For me, spiders are creepy scary guys, why would one not be afraid of them with their eight blue eyes? Another true fear is when that bug does their swan dive into your beer or when the skeeta buzzes in your ear!
