His promise kept a true nobleman.

War is a terrible thing, something mankind regretably, has seen fit to engage in since mans existence, and it will always be so.
Your short poem describes so very well, the
tragic consequences of war at a very human level.
'His vacant eyes defy the truth' to me, says it all.
    Well done Mr Nair.

Thank you all for appreciating my write.

Wishing the frozen hearts could melt,
The vacant eyes could light up again.

Wishing the world would give up the futile effort of self destruction and see the path of love which could win over much more than it can comprehend.

    Hello.

    I cant joke about this.

War is terrible. We send young men and women out to fight wars that should never be. They witness atrosities that should never be seen.

When they return to loved ones they are changed. War does this. You cant unsee death and needless suffering.

The vacant eyes say it all.

    Well done.

    Take care
