She is Beautiful

by Maple Tree   Oct 28, 2015

She has become a thunderstorm of light
casting shadows during an owlets cry
For it's mother.

Fear is a moment undiscundiscovered
her eyes become a beacon for the
lost and bewildered.

Her figure is a sphere of crystal medallions
curvaceous silhouette, the epitome of beauty-
Nature's woman of darkness.

Protecter , mother of night
as the lonely go unnoticed....
she is the moon.

"thunderstorm of light" - love the way that sounds on the lips and the mere wonder and awe of it!

Mother moon, truly a guiding light to the lost. Beautiful tribute to her.

Another beautifully written nature poem by you, Maple. This really is lovely.

I love all the stanzas here. but the personification used here really stood out for me. I hope this gets nominated - I'm out of votes. If it doesn't, I will try to come back on Monday to do so!
    All the very best
