The Braveheart

The Brave Heart

Seen shades of red
on these hands,
caressed many wrinkles ,
tired and old .
Held and hugged some laughing eyes,
Touched pearls of sorrow
as they rolled !

Sometimes it's snow that clutch those boots,
Somewhere It's sand on thirst parched lips.
Across glades and snow clad peaks ,
He treads unfazed when the whole world sleeps .

Rainbow of emotions , is the lives he lives,
Chasing stars that fall from skies.
Clad he might in armored shields ,
Hide a vulnerable heart within.

For nations pride ,
Even death he mocks .
Yes ! mountains move,
When soldiers March ...

This is truly beautiful. We see the work a soldier does throughout this piece, the works we don't realise when they are out fighting for country and defending things that truly matter, our lives.

    Seen shades of red
    on these hands,
    caressed many wrinkles ,
    tired and old .
Held and hugged some laughing eyes,
    Touched pearls of sorrow
    as they rolled !

This is a truly magical opening and I feel soldiers who are doing the right thing will touch many peoples lives that they cross. Yes, they may have blood pin their hands because of fighting for the country but they will help those in need of it too, the elderly, the children who are in the crossfire.

Sometimes it's snow that clutch those boots,
Somewhere It's sand on thirst parched lips.
Across glades and snow clad peaks ,
He treads unfazed when the whole world sleeps .

The imagery here is beautiful and it amazes me that even when the world is asleep here they are the brave soldiers still fighting for their country.

Rainbow of emotions , is the lives he lives,
Chasing stars that fall from skies.
Clad he might in armored shields ,
    Hide a vulnerable heart within.

Again beautiful imagery and the soldier will be a 'rainbow of emotion' because of all the things he's seen. The countries he will travel to and yes, he will not be able to wear his heart on his sleeve so to speak because then he will not be able to do his job right.

    For nations pride ,
    Even death he mocks .
    Yes ! mountains move,
    When soldiers March ...
    ^^
This is a truly beautiful ending. The image again of mountains moving for our heroes so a beautiful one.

You did a great job and will receive my nomination.

Salute to all the soldiers who march unfazed.
A very sensitive poem. A beautiful potrayal of the man up in arms, who carries a loving and vulnerable heart but marches on to move mountains at the beck of his nations call.

The gentle side of the army men( saving people, protecting the invvalid) very often we do not get to see, is beautiuly potrayed in this verse.

    Seen shades of red

Held and hugged some laughing eyes,

    Thank you Hari.
