I guess this is a write any artist in any profession will feel and understand this hunger! May it be a painter, poet, glass maker, drawer etc when that eagerness and the eager to do/make something the excitement just rises. Gathering from this read I take it there is a muse the inspiration factor who pushes the artist to feel what he/she feels and does it!

Maybe the reason they keep artist to starve is because if they are full their art becomes empty.

Way to go Dag! My wife belongs to an Art Club, some of their work is breathtaking, all through those brushes that bring life to a blank canvas. 5/5
    keep up the great work!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, even though I'm not a fan of so many fillers, it still held its content, the first line in the last stanza would have read much better if it were written "looking from afar"......nicely done though.

This reminds me of my summer reading book this year "Cat's Eye" by Margaret Attwood. If you've never read it, I think you'd find it nearly impossible to relate to the actual story of it.

I love Effusive's take on this piece, because it definitely left me wondering that myself. I don't know if you did this on purpose or not, but I especially love how each stanza has its own form of muse, canvass, and medium.

    Beautifully penned.

I think we all are starving artists. There's so much hunger in this world. Hunger for all sort of things, however, these lines:

    My hands still tinkle
becoming aroused by the smell of fresh paint,
ready to throw on this plain empty wall.

The above lines caught my attention. I feel passion in there. It's a great feeling to have. I could picture you there.

Great write. I enjoyed it. I can somehow relate to it.
