Beautiful Angel of Mine

When the lights in my eyes went out,
you came into the storm
and pulled me from the darkness.

I was too blind to look,
too messed up to see the kindness
in the angel who rescued me.

I tried to be guarded within these walls
and shut the world out,
but my brain was so clouded,
I don't remember how you suddenly
got deep inside my heart.

You don't know what you mean to me,
and it only seems to grow with time,
my head is clearer now,
and I thank you for rescuing me,
