Chasing Memories of You

When I read the title "Chasing memories of you" I felt it was about someone who has left this world. That is the impression I got and the mood set just with the opening stanza.

but I can't find ways to let you go,
and it's not easy saying goodbye,
but nothing else matters
now that you have gone.

^^This stanza stood out for me and I could just feel the heaviness within it. It isn't always easy saying goodbye and when that person is gone...it feels like all else has fallen apart.

I never found the words
to say what you meant to me,
I don't think I even want to try,
maybe I should just say it like it is,
that what we had meant more
inside my heart,
than it ever did in yours!

^^This summed it all up and it tells that this poem is about love that has walked out of your life. When you have felt and put in so much but its not reciprocated instead it walks away for it had no value.
