Michael - excellent - the same thing has happened to me! The ending really is brilliant - almost like a senryu: Everything's so peaceful and written so poetically - almost dreamily, then "Thwack"! Brilliant.
    All the very best

      Hello dear,

I like to keep reader guessing. That makes the laugh all the more funny when you are not expecting humor.

      Thanks, (((hugs)))

    Michaell!
You just keep making me laugh, every time I set foot into one of your poems.
I hope your foot is now better. Nasty things rakes!
I love your line : 'Kissed by my garden rake.'
    That is just so funny!
An excellent read Michael! You should be on stage somewhere with your talent for penning such humorous lines!

Ah...that is life just to bring us back to reality something must be in the way to whack us back to earth! Sweet.

I saw the acrostic and can understand WACK but THWACK did not make sense to me...maybe that is the sound of rake wack :D Enjoyed this read.

As adoring of funny poems as I am, I couldn't let this slip through. Quite uniquely you also slipped in an acrostic to sound out comically the noise the rake made. I literally laughed at this poem. Huge smiles and great write, thanks for the laugh.Â
