Still Have Doubts

I took a risk too close to home,
and I still have my doubts
that the outcome will only be
the same as times before.

Is it okay to open up?
Or will that be the end of us?

I'm scared of betraying you
by falling back to my old routine
of coping;
I am damaged more than you think.

And even though I know you care,
I still have my doubts
if you will always be there.
