Taking Blame

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 5, 2015

I will never forget the night
that I didn't answer my phone.
If I had known it could have saved your life,
I would go back in time
and turn the volume up so I could hear it ring.

But early the next morning
you became the girl who wasn't there.

I died a thousand times
when I saw your lifeless body
lying on the ground,
as I started screaming in the crowd.

No one wants to take the blame
for the reason of your death,
so I will take it all,
even though you were my best friend,
and they were the ones
who put you in the ground!!

Saffie , Ire-read the poem several times , each time i could feel the pain with the same intensity....
    Sorry for the loss.
Only love and friendship so pure would make someone take up all the blame.
    Take care dear.
All the best and thank you for sharing this poem.

I really hope this is not true but then again this is the reality faced by many and we end up taking or rather carry the blame...a touching write.
