To give your best to someone, your all... doesn't mean it isn't good enough, might just mean its given to the wrong person... just something to think about...

or, it might be the right person and they are in a frame of mind now that is clouded and sooner or later they will realize it... so very often this happens.. often times its too late... and they see what they lost and then other times the truest of hearts prevail...

Emotional write, and so vulnerable. I think that would hurt the most, hearing this person profess their love but not be able to believe it. For giving then having it be taken away. And dealing with the aftermath.

Really thoughtful words from Maple... I kind of think if this person sees it as something "good enough or not good enough", then it wasn't love for them. Because when you love, it is honest and a love that doesn't need to be "proved" or "bought" if that makes sense. It's evident by what it is. Love is still confusing to me. I think there can be so many questions, so much to open yourself up to, letting barriers down, wondering what will come of becoming close, etc.

I can feel the pain in every word you penned here. It's not a nice feeling when you give all you got in a relationship only to get nothing back but disappointment, and betrayal. I'm living exactly what your poem projected. Though sad, it's a beautiful write.
