Will you

by DK   Nov 5, 2015

From different roots to the same troubled river
Sweet at heart but a terrible kisser
Falling in love with a plate and a smile
As if he knew her all this while

Suddenly she left for months on end
As the broken heart thought, can't they even be friends
But as the smoke dies down, they start anew
And in that moment, she finally knew

Despite differences like hip hop and judo
He bravely asked to drop the pseudo
Now Fireworks reign looking into his eyes
As their heartbeats race to escalated highs

From brand of shoe to colour of red
And other things that were left unsaid
Together they braved through troubled times
And finally figured they were partners in crime

Decided to stop betraying their hearts
Trust in their feelings, and tear curtains apart
Like the touch of her hand he can fully remember
To every song she sang in November

Recalling the years their love had last
With pictures to keep memories of past
Declaring his love on the under-side
Right up to the moment they first collide

"Let's fill the plate that brought me to you
with 5 long years that we've been through"
Down on his knees and out of the blue
He braved the words with a ring "will you".
