Two Sides Of The Same Coin

by Katie Walsh   Nov 6, 2015

Two Sides Of Me

So here we are, alone again.
Just you and me, no other friends.
It's always been us, we're fighting.

We're hiding, protecting ourselves.
Time to put this, up on the shelves.
It's too much sometimes, dealing with it all
But I know, we'll never fall

Sometimes I can just, let them in
Just to see, that they lose and you win
Keeping up with you is a race, your shadows shakes
You move so fast, I begin to quake

Why do we run from what we love?
Time will always fill, the grave we dug
The souls we steal, they are taken away
We worked so hard, to make them stay

Why do we live this way?
Our graves they wait, for us to lay
The people they wait, for our final stand
The War that will echo throughout the land
None of this is real, don't you see?
There is more than one side of me

I like they way you got your two cents in even if the other coin has yet to

I really felt the rhythm of this well written rhyme
A bit dark, but somehow I know you'll never fall, or even better for the poetic feet you will never fall ... ;)wink
