Four-Leaf Clover:

by Scott Cole   Nov 7, 2015

Some say that I'm lucky
Yeah maybe that's true,
But I'm one in a million
So I'm really hard to view.

I'm so easy to overlook
Cause I blend in real well,
You may think you see me
But it's extremely hard to tell.

All my brothers and sisters
They conceal my whereabouts,
I'm hidden in here somewhere
And you may have your doubts.

For you must have patience
And a great set of eyes,
Cause I'm very hard to spot
With my camouflage disguise.

If you search high and low
All across the ground floor,
I'm much easier to discover
If you can count to four.

Your eyes may get blurry
I may get on your nerves,
But if you should give up
Then I will never emerge.

Every once in a blue moon
My very presence is found,
And I'm plucked from my spot
My spot off the ground.

Now my future looks bleak
What will ever happen to me,
Let me just hold my breath
And remain patient and see.

To some I'm a special prize
And I'm put on display,
But to others I'm useless
And packed up or thrown away.

Yeah some say that I'm lucky
Like I have told you before,
Yeah lucky if you don't find me
I hate flat books and cold floors.

    Hi Scott,

another gem here. I read recently that although rare; there are people who collect these
One person has tousands of them.

    Well done.
