Questions

by Timothy   Nov 7, 2015

Where are we?
These silhouettes that walk like men,
Do we have a placement,
Or perpetual roaming?
When are we?
Have we risen above the invention of the wheel,
Or do we hide behind computer screens,
Pretending to be enlightened,
By the ingenuity of man?
Why are we?
God has made us in His image,
But there's much failure in mankind,
So, does this mean God is imperfect,
Or did the creation fail the Master?
Who are we?
Are we evolution,
Or was there a Divine Plan,
Perhaps aliens seeded us,
Or it was all an accident.
What are we?
Are we masters of the universe,
Or simply puppets on strings,
Have we become greater then intended,
Or just animals with bigger brains?

You know I will go with the last line-we are animals with bigger brain! All these questions is so complicated for we ourselves don't know where we stand! We just evolve as the world evolves...just like dinosaurs!

    Hello Timothy,

good question. Why are we here, what purpose do we serve. Do we serve a purpose? If so whose?

This raises more questions than answers. I like poems that do this. It creates healthy debate and helps us understand who and what we are.

Personally I believe we are animals with large brains and the ability to manipulate the world around us for our own benefit. Dolphins have bigger brains, but without the opposable thumbs to rule the world. Evolution or God has been kind or fortunate.

    Thank you for the thoughts.

    Take care,

    Michael
