Bruised by a broken reflection of my shadow

She is but a mere shadow of the reflection locked in my mind
convincing my heart to live the dream and let go reality.
Her eyes had this glow like moonlight bouncing to and forth
trying hard to torment me.
She smiled, a caption of universe joy, collecting the beauty of the whole galaxy.
How I wish could allow myself fade in your embrace,
be part of your ever brighter day.
But that will never happen,
for truth is more deceiving than your lies,
dripping from your mouth like honey, sweet
yet itching like bee sting.
I will revisit the glorious days
when everything was in favor of me.
Dark days they are, but worth waiting till dawn.
