Elusive

by Maren L Johnson   Nov 11, 2015

Relegated to mush
My mind tries to put its finger on you
Elusive queen of very little words
I love you and hate you
At precisely the same time

I lust after your reckless abandon
I would eat your love
Nibble on the inside of your thighs
For one taste of the freedom you
never seem to hold dear.

A penchant for loving the wrong one
I find myself in a familiar predicament
You are the bane of my existence
yet I am a willing fool to be had and to be held as you please.

She writhes in ecstasy and I am
yet again a lustful bystander
Biting my tongue so I won't speak
Longing to kiss your poison-laced lips
Knowing death is sure

Relegated to mush
My mind tries to put its finger on you
You elude me once again
Throbbing, wet, stiff
I ache for just one moment of
blue clear clarity.
