    Hello Hellon,

I regard you as one of the best with short form poetry. When I read the title my mind went straight to the song 'rainy days and Mondays' by the Carpenters.

I will comment whilst listening *sways head in a silly way*

The picture painted with the title and the first two lines is spot on. The 'rain' set in for the 'day' added force by the 'blustery' 'wind' that we often in experience in 'March', well to be quite honest any time of the year here; especially in the north! The 'umbrella' is forced 'inside out'. This is all a too familiar image, a 'turn' of events that leave a comical scene as the owner tries to rectify the mechanism. After all that took the darn thing to protect them...

The last line, the punch line the twist, the turn, the as I like to recall from Kiko, the 'ah ha' moment! The rain, the demon in this tableau finally sinks its cold claws into its victim.

Well done Hellon, another superb short form. Is it a Senyru, probably, maybe not, well, it matters not to me as I get it and love it.

    Take care,

    Michael ((hugs))

    Hi Hellon,

I like this Haiku, although it also could be seen as a Senryu, I feel.
Every season has it's beauty and there is nothing like a beautiful March day with fierce winds that make cauliflower clouds drift by against a deep blue sky...so much action!!

    Well done,

    Ingrid

Thank you Michael and Ingrid for your comments. I really wasn't sure whether this was a senryu or a haiku to be honest. I was always taught that, if you place a human form or mention one, then it could not be classed as a haiku but, I also mention the month which then implies a season so...honestly...I'm not sure what it is so...I played safe and left the form out of the title haha!!!

Senryu, Haiku? The linecan often be very fine anyway, from what I've read, but this is excellent.
Well done Hellon and all the best
