New Love

It's been a while since I last did this,
but inspiration was sparked by a kiss.
Loving words that caress my heart,
a bond so strong that it could never break apart.

Things started a bit slow and then sped past,
I may not have been the first but, you made me your last.
I find myself thinking of your smile,
this poem is getting lame because I haven't done this in a while.

So I will end this here,
with a soft whisper to your ear.
You've shown me love I never knew before,
and my heart is yours forever more
