Wanting To Let You In

What worries me the most
is if it makes you feel bad to see me scared
when fear has pulled me under.

I do my best to keep it inside,
because I don't want to be the reason
for the rain inside your eyes.

Being scared of talking about it,
is just another disadvantage,
but sometimes I just don't know what to say
to help you connect the dots in my mind.

And I know these are just words on paper,
but you need to believe that I want to let you in,
so maybe we can sail away
to somewhere only we know,
and I will tell you everything when I sleep.
