Tree Walker

by Maple Tree   Nov 18, 2015

Upon an early dawn I felt a fear
of emptiness, leaving a trail of
tears from a womb that no longer
holds happiness.

Words

escape

me

He will pass before me,
they will comfort
and I will become
a walker mongst
the trees.

Whispering
words that took
an oath
to remain

A very sad poem and it touched my heart. The fear of emptiness and never ending tears I can so well relate. Afraid to lose that special someone it is devasting. I like the way you mentioned the trees that's where I like to go when I feel that way. The forest and hearing a certain whisper. Add to my favorite
