Truth be told, you are my only regret
A part of my past, I will never forget
Yesterday, you were running through my mind
Reminiscent of a love, that was once so kind
No matter how close I draw near
Your love is far from me
Today, I lost myself wishing
You would rejog my memory
A gift of hope, that will not find the present
Therefore I sacrifice, moments of resentment
Knowing eternity lies ahead of a future I refuse
Tomorrow, becomes another day of missing you...

Hi, this is a sad, powerful, raw write.
Loved the rhyming. Missing someone so much can hurt but I guess we learn with time to deal with it...

I liked this a lot. It didn't stick to a rigid format but it still had flow. Well done!

    Ohh this is very sad...

I do like how it flows while reading.. To miss someone from the past can be daunting... it creates an ache that wont let go of the heart... in time it eases up, but the memories never fade... beautifully written!
