My Starving Heart:

by Scott Cole   Nov 24, 2015

Love is but a hunger
An unstoppable need,
To quench the heart
And stop the bleed.

It's a lonely struggle
An appetite of destruction,
A desire for affection
To feed it's consumption.

It's an on-going thirst
A taste of but lust,
It's finding that someone
Your heart can trust.

It's a longing bond
A craving of passion,
A mouthful of love yous
A heart's attraction.

It's feelings of want
An emotional embrace,
It's stuffing your heart
Instead of your face.

It's a new beginning
A brand new start,
A three course meal
For my starving heart.

I often wonder if life is really possible livieng without love.I had to learn to love myself first before loving someone else. Everybody is longing for that special feeling and somebody but the feeling should be mutual. I was never good on writing about love but you did a great job.Be blessed
