Today is your Birthday
Together we should be
It should be a celebration
A milestone "50"

But without any warning
You never came thru
No call or message
But that's normal for you

What you don't know till this day
Is I planned a whole night
I even baked cupcakes
Every detail just right

But you went about your day
Without a care in the world
Had some beers with your Homie
That is what I was told

I was not too surprised
Cause you've done this before
Still it's hard to get used to
Really I'm not keeping score

What this does just reminds me
That I'm not on your mind
I won't get an explanation
Or a minute of your time

Now I will keep my distance
Friends like you I don't need
