Joy to the World

by Mark Rawlins   Dec 8, 2015

O Come all ye faithful, it's the time of year
To spread good will and Christmas cheer,
With my festive wish and Yule tide mission .....
To buy a flat-screen television .....
At a knock-down price just for today
I'll knock down anyone in my way.
Christmas is coming, and the price is right
To get into an unholy fight.
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
The bargains are going to the quickest buyer.
Christmas carols being sang al fresco,
Time to leg it to the nearest Tesco,
With your Rudolph jumper and your Santa socks,
But keep your thieving hands off my X box.
Get your frozen turkey for your Christmas lunch,
But you'd better watch out for my Christmas punch.
'Cause on Black Friday, there ain't no rules,
I'll be decking you, and not the halls.
So come all ye faithful, and let's remember .....
The sales will start on 26th of December!
