I Love You:

by Scott Cole   Dec 11, 2015

It's not the color of your eyes
Nor the shade of your long hair,
It's not the voice that you have
Or all the laughs that we share.

It's not the touch of your skin
Not the taste of your juicy lips,
It's not your breath on my neck
Or both my hands upon your hips.

It's not that stare that I do cherish
Nor that loveliness on your face,
It's not all of those smiling smiles
That you tossed into outer space.

It's not because of all your beauty
But just how you make me feel,
It's not those kisses that you have
Those ones I always tried to steal.

For it's only because I Love You
That's the only reason I do care,
And there's not another living soul
Could this heart ever love as such.
