When nothingness becomes solid.
When emotions have taste.
When the blood is running freely
And when the tears just don't stop.
Then maybe you'll understand.
When your smiles become cement.
When your eyes become glassy.
When all your sleeves are long
And makeup becomes necessary
Then maybe you'll get it.
When the pills start to go missing.
When razor parts are in the trash.
When you start averting your eyes.
And start talking less and less.
Then maybe you 'll realize.
That this is what it felt like.
This is how it was for me.
This was what my life became.
That this was what I was left with.
Until Death took even that away.
