Feelings are changing
as I'm facing up to
the shadow of a man
who stole my childhood
and poisoned my mind
with false beliefs.
Beliefs are changing
as I start to discover
and understand the truth;
there's so much more
to what this Monster told me.
Insecure about what I know,
anxiety grows high
when a million pieces of the past
explode before my eyes,
and suddenly I see
waves of destruction approaching me,
and I know I will soon drown
inside this sea of insecurities.
