Good Lord, is it morning?

Good Lord, is it morning?

Good morning Lord and thank you for this new day, your dawn has chased the phantoms of darkness away, now they are held at bay.
As the dew sparkles on the stems of hay, the Cock crows his old familiar song, sunrise is coming and it won't be long!
The pigs are alarmed, they smell the breakfast bacon and know that can spell them harm.
The steam from the mulch piles slowly rises in tune with the waning of the full moon, the fog from the bottom bog will be gone soon.

For this day I do pray, please keep my enemies away, give me a low price for the bales of hay I will buy today.

I love our lives on the farm, far away from those poor people who live *house to house and yard to yard where sounds in the night can put a sleepless soul to flight.

Many years ago we left the Metro after much toil and grief to give us and our children a place given by God this place of solitude and relief.

Our kids love their puppies and the wise old dogs walks with them, always close, they giggle as they get a lick or two on the hand, the sight is grand.

And now Lord it's sunset and time to say good night as the day's memories slowly fade away, I remember my boyhood prayer asking you my soul to keep, my voice was just a little peep and I wondered why Mom did weep.

*Isaiah the Old Testament Prophet said; Woe to those who live house to house and yard to yard.

God please help them.

Thanks Dag, our brains are like computers, if we pile in too much they crash! Serenity also brings peace. When in Eden our ancestors were gardener's in God's field, a life style far from today's world of anxiety.

You are absolutely right. I love nature myself and the simple things in life. It can be so rewarding and fun all at the same time. Great job and I love it. Enjoyed reading.

Absolutely, Ken - the simple pleasures in life seem to be forgotten by so many these days.
