Deepest Black

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 26, 2015

Never in my life
have I struggled to breathe this much,
struggled to stop the tears
that are burning through my eyes.

Never in my life
have I completely soaked a tissue
as if it had dried up a river.

Never have my eyes felt so heavy,
felt like the weight of all the world's water
is stored behind them,
and the approaching storm
is about to burst their banks.

And I wonder
if you will ever save me,
before I drown.
