Galaxy Blackout

My heart sinks to the bottom
of the deepest ocean floor
every time it sees your name
appear upon my phone.

Wondering if I will ever feel
your love again,
since it disappeared
as quick as a hiccup.

I can hear my heart cracking,
trying to forget the impossible,
trying to forget about you!

But before I say goodbye
and head into the darkness
of a galaxy with a thousand blacked out stars,

I ask myself...

why did I have to love you?
