I think it's really sad,
that someone can promise to be in your life
until their dying day,
swear to your soul that they will never leave you,
and deep down,
I believe that they truly believed it themselves,
and just did not realise how easily
they would one night slip away.
Slipping straight from your heart,
through all of your tears
and landing in your past.
I think it's really sad,
that you can exchange your heart
with someone you love so dearly,
creating memories
that reach beyond the stars and the moon,
yet just like that,
they can vanish with your heart
into a distant galaxy,
leaving these painful memories behind
for you to remember that no matter
how much they declared they loved you,
they obviously didn't love you enough
to stay with you until their dying day.
