Bonfire.

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 4, 2016

Suddenly,
I have this itching
desire
to gather all
the loose ends
of my heart,
the weathered
pages, frills and
tear-stained
lines,
and set them
aflame.

To burn
my sadness
until poetry
is reborn
and out of
my ashes,
a new era
arises.

-
2 minute write. Was sick of seeing how many poems I have under the "sad" category.

I love the simple and true elegance
    of this piece.

Sometimes when the sorrow gets over burdened it is good to regroup, cleanse
    and refresh.

To burn the old past and start a new within writing is a true release.

    Such a beautiful write!
